Too cold to grill outside! But I've been craving grilled anything! So I grabbed my cast iron grill pan, heated the oven to 500 degrees and viola! I have fire! Or I have grill, inside, where it's nice and warm. And you know what? It came out fabulous. My cast iron has grill-nubby thingee's on it so I got the grill marks. It's all about the grill marks right? Oh yeah! Since it was night time I don't have the best of pics, but you can imagine how good this tasted. I used a wonderful barbeque sauce from my buddies at Stonewall Kitchen.

Those look yumm-y! And I would not have known that they were made inside. Definitely going to have some kind of chicken wings tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteToo cold.. to grill? I don't understand. Heh. Man, I miss having a grill so bad, that looks wicked good! I could go for some for breakfast right now. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the skin on your chicken! I wish BBQ so much, actually I miss summer!!
ReplyDeleteOMG that looks awesome. That skin! WOW! I need breakfast.
ReplyDeleteWe have mild weather around here so we can BBQ all yr long. I love the thick crust on the chicken.
ReplyDeleteYum! BBQ chicken has got to have that touch of char.
ReplyDeleteFinger lickin' good!
ReplyDeleteThose bbq chicken look really good! I have a grill that goes on top of my stove over the two middle burners and it really works just as well as an outside grill, so it comes really handy especially in the wintertime.
ReplyDeleteBBQ chicken is one of my absolute favorites. I especially love when the chicken has little burnt pieces on it- yum!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I keep a grill on our porch, right outside the kitchen door, and even in the dead of winter when there's snow on porch I'll be out there grilling. Once you get used to grilling, it's hard to give it up in the winter!
ReplyDeleteOh those look SO good!
ReplyDeleteAh, to be back in my country where you can barbecue without prejudice 12 months out of the year, heh :) BUT that looks deeelicious (despite your cabin fever :)
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of Summer! We can only pray it gets here soon. I need beach weather and BBQs!
ReplyDeleteah, sweet beautiful luscious char. summer can't get here quickly enough!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I better get all of my "grilling" out of my system now since when summer rolls around I won't be turning my oven to 500 degrees!
ReplyDeletethey definitely look grilled. i've got a grill pan so i'll try something like this when i have some chicken on hand.
ReplyDeleteDawn that looks fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteThe chicken still looks really good....especially that last pic!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I have been looking for a great BBQ chicken recipe and this looks like it has JUST enough BBQ yumminess on it!
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteIs the recipe for the bbq chicken on the back of the bottle, did you season the chicken with any spices and how long did you bake it.

ReplyDeleteThere is no recipe on the back of the bottle. I just used the sauce in the bottle as my sauce, plus a bit of salt & pepper. Coated raw chicken with sauce and broiled. I broiled the chicken in my oven in a cast iron grill pan. Maybe 8 minutes each side? All depends on how YOU want to cook it and your oven temp may vary from mine.
