Please email me your shipping address.

I finally got to try Pinkberry for the first time.
We don't have any on the cape, but I was in place last week that had one.
And I was impressed.  Really good--now I know what all the rage is about.
This was the key lime with raspberries and coconut.
IMG_1932
Allergy season is here!  Stinging Nettle: this is what I've been using for many years.
Every year around the beginning of March I start taking these right through to the end of August.
It works for hay fever and other allergies plus it has other medicinal benefits.
Do some research on "stinging nettle"--and you'll see.
And if you do start this or any herb, remember they do not work overnight; they take a while.
I share this with you because it truly works for me; I use to suffer badly from hay fever.
IMG_1928
Finally tried the new Hazelnut Macchiato from Starbucks.  Wow that was good.
It's really sweet, so I ask for 1-2 pumps as opposed to 5, and have them use whole milk.
What makes it is that hazelnut drizzle on the top!
IMG_1969
With ice cream season in full swing, I wasted no time trying the newest flavor from Ben & Jerry's: Candy Bar Pie.  Seriously, do I even need to explain how crazy-good it is?
IMG_1967
Isn't this hilarious?  I can't remember where I got it, some where on pinterest.
IMG_1964
There are two bridges that connect the mainland to cape cod, the sagamore bridge and the bourne bridge.
I was stuck in traffic on the top of the sagamore bridge (they are in the process of painting it so they had closed two lanes which causes traffic); I just had to grab a quick shot of the cape cod canal.  Rarely do I ever get to see the canal because I'm always driving and cannot get a good view.
IMG_1963
Can you see how the canal curves out?  Pretty cool right?
IMG_1966
We had one day, so far, with 70 degree temps; it was glorious.  After the winter we had, it was so refreshing to have full on sun and calm blue sea.
IMG_1988
On sunny days you just have to take off, pack a lunch, and go to your favorite spot for the day.
IMG_1993
IMG_1992
Not a bad view for the day. No complaints here.

Don't even get me started on this.  Lake Champlain Chocolate. Heavenly chocolates.
My favorite is the peanut butter, but this caramel is a close second.
And Lake Champlain you need to add a touch of salt to this. Seriously.

Happy Friday!
As much as I want to say the word "happy" I am not with all these winter storms that keep hitting the Cape.
Two days ago was the first day of spring and right after that we had yet another snow storm.
This one dumping six inches of snow.  Which by the way, six inches of snow to us now is a mere couple of inches. I don't like getting used to it that way.
It's not so much the snow that bothers me, it's the lack of sun that is killing my moods.
We seem to be on this pattern of five days of cloudy, dark or snow weather, and maybe one and half days of sun.
I miss the sun, I miss the natural Vit D she gives me too.

IMG_1758
I was asked to try Bonnieville's Power Cookie.  Pretty darn good for a vegan, gluten free and dairy free cookie! With no refined sugar too!
Those kind of cookies are hard to make AND hard to make tasty.  If I had to change one thing?
It needs more chocolate flavor.

It's here!  I was sent a copy of Gesine latest cookbook!
I'm thrilled to pieces.  Have you seen the latest recipes?
Bake It like you Mean It is about showcasing cakes from the inside out,   Each chapter is devoted to a technique of making different types of cake beginning with the easiest recipe and moving to the more technically difficult as the chapter progresses.  When the cakes are cut they reveal intricate layers of patterns and designs.  One recipe you can have right now: Pyramid Cake is on her website.
Not only that, but recipes like creamsicle cheesecake, creamsicle meringue, truffle caramel fig cake, pumpkin mousse cruller tart, meyer lemon and blackberry zebra cheesecake....

Have you tried the red velvet cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory?
Do I need to tell you how good it was?

Great idea.  Pricey though, but tasty. (found them at whole foods).

Coming to the Cape this summer? Please visit DJ Wings in Hyannis on the railroad tracks.
Literally some of the best wings I've had outside of Buffalo, NY.  Their portions are huge and what makes the wings so tasty are the sauces--unlimited amount of flavors.  I have yet to work up to the "Hurt Me" sauce. And don't forget to check out their "Angry Wings Contest" where you have to eat 10 "wings from hell" to the bone.

There has been a lot of beach erosion damage from the last few storms and blizzards.
This is cape cod national seashore where literally chunks of the cliffs are eaten away from the mammoth waves.  That black is earth, that's how severe the waves were during the blizzard.
IMG_1593
If you can imagine, there used to be about 3-5 more feet of this cliff! Location: Le Count Hollow Beach, Wellfleet, Ma.
IMG_1606
We did get some long-lasting swells from the blizzards even days after the storm had passed.
